Prompt Reporting Saves Money and Time, Maintains Morale
Employers have an easy way to gain control of rising claims costs: report the claim promptly! The sooner employers report the claim, the sooner they can:
- Save money: through reduced medical and legal costs, reduced loss of productivity, and reduced premium payments.
- Save time: by recalling details early on and expediting the processing of the claim.
- Maintain employee morale: by showing that they are employers who care.
Remember, filing the Employer’s Report of Occupational Injury or Illness does NOT constitute an admission of liability.
At State Fund we encourage policyholders to expedite the claims report by:
- Calling our toll-free 24-hour Claims Reporting Center. Our knowledgeable representatives can complete the Employer’s Report for policyholders over the phone and mail them a copy.
OR
- Faxing the completed Employer’s Report to our toll-free fax line. A representative will contact the policyholder if we need any additional information.
