National Safety Month, June 2006
You Can Make a Difference in Making Our World a Safer Place
This year marks the 10th anniversary since the National Safety Council (NSC) began designating June as National Safety Month. The goal of this annual campaign is to educate and encourage people to adopt and maintain safety and health practices in all aspects of daily life. The theme for 2006, "Making Our World a Safer Place," focuses each of the four weeks in June on a specific safety topic. The NSC Web site provides safety tips, posters, and products to highlight each week’s safety focus:
- Week 1 (June 5-9) Driving
- Week 2 (June 12-16) Workplace
- Week 3 (June 19-23) Emergency Preparedness
- Week 4 (June 26-30) Home and Community
State Fund encourages Californians to join with the National Safety Council in helping prevent or reduce accident frequency and severity. We invite you to access our online educational resources to support your safety efforts throughout this safety month--and every month of every year.
