Sheryl Chalupa Appointed to SCIF Board of Directors

SACRAMENTO -- Sheryl Chalupa, 52, of Bakersfield, has been appointed to the State Compensation Insurance Fund Board of Directors. Since 2001, she has served as president and chief executive officer for Goodwill Industries of South Central California, where she oversees the non-profit corporation serving the areas of Kern, King and Southern Tulare counties. Chalupa worked for the Girl Scouts of Joshua Tree Council from 1986 to 2001, holding the positions of director of membership services and then executive director. She is a member of the California State University, Bakersfield Public Policy and Administration Advisory Board and serves as secretary and treasurer for the California Elected Women’s Association for Education and Research (CEWAER). This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Chalupa is a Democrat.
