SAN FRANCISCO/REDDING, CALIF. – State Compensation Insurance Fund today announced plans to construct a new District Office at the northeast corner of Shasta View Road and Highway 44.
Ground breaking will begin in May 2006 with construction slated to be completed by January 2008. The new building will replace State Fund’s existing District Office, located at 364 Knollcrest Drive.
“Our new Redding District Office will enhance services to policyholders in the region and is a good investment because of the ever-escalating real estate costs throughout California,” explained Kent Dagg, a member of State Fund’s Board of Directors. “We are very pleased to acquire this site which is conveniently located near Highway 44 and is close to public transportation as well as Redding’s major commercial business hub.”
State Fund’s Acting President James C. Tudor said, “Our Redding District Office has been a member of the local business community and has served the workers’ compensation needs of policyholders for nearly four decades. Our Redding District Office book of business has steadily increased. Our decision underscores our commitment to employers throughout the region.”
The Redding Office and its 156 employees serve nearly 8,000 policyholders in nine counties including Shasta, Glenn, Tehama, Trinity, Lassen, Plumas, Butte, Modoc and Siskiyou. The office services every aspect of workers’ compensation insurance including claims, policy, loss control, vocational rehabilitation, administrative and anti-fraud.
