Career Development
At State Fund we are dedicated to the career development of our employees. Upward mobility within our organization is one of the core values guiding State Fund's success. By providing ongoing training and development at all levels of State Fund, we ensure a sound organization with an empowered workforce. Our employees participate in career development programs that include on-the-job training, classroom training, and career coaching.
On-the-Job Training On-the-job training is available through Training and Development (T&D) assignments. T&D assignments provide opportunities for employees to broaden their skills, improve advancement potential, and prepare for careers in different occupational fields.
In-House Training State Fund offers in-house training in the areas of claims adjustment, underwriting, loss control, risk management, customer service, supervision, and other fields.
Analyst Certification Training - ACT ACT is a yearlong program offered through State Fund's Project Services Office. The program is designed to increase the depth and scope of employees’ analytical skills through a combination of educational and hands-on experiences.
Loss Control Training State Fund's Safety and Health Services Department offers extensive training for loss control personnel. Training programs are designed to provide loss control representatives with the knowledge and skills they need to work as safety professionals. Representatives who complete the training program attain the title of loss control consultant. Additional training includes Graduate Loss Control Consultant Training, which enables consultants to provide service to their clients more effectively.
Career Coaching Supervisors support employees' advancement goals by creating a Career Development Plan. Together the supervisor and employee identify the training, education, and/or work experience needed for the employee to reach his/her career objective.
